A task analysis should be conducted by supervisors for every position that reports to them. The purpose of the task analysis is define exactly what tasks a worker should perform in a given position and also what skills he/she should possess to complete the task assigned. The more detailed the information is, the easier it is for the manager to then evaluate the performance of each worker.
