Two adjacent $($ideal$)$ parallel plate capacitors with given geometrical dimensions $l_1,l_2$ and $h,$ as shown schematically in Fig. $1,$ are employed as a deflection system for the motion of particles of positive charge $q$ and mass $m.$ The upper capacitor plates are grounded $($zero potential$)$ while the lower plates can be maintained at desired controlling potentials $V_1$ and $V_2.$ It is observed that the particle entering this system with the horizontal velocity $v$ at point A $,$ exits the system at point B $,$ continuing to move strictly horizontally but displaced "upward" from the entry point by distance d$.$ Find such $V_1$ and $V_2($including their polarities$)$ that were used to realize the described deflection effect on the particle in the plane of Fig. $1.$ Gravity effect is negligible.
