$1.$ Click the Insert tab on the Ribbon.

$2.$ In the Tables group, click on the icon above the word PivotTable.

$3.$ When the Create PivotTable dialog box appears:

Choose Select a table or range.

Enter the range corresponding to age $($E$1$:E$31).$

Choose Existing Worksheet as the place where the PivotTable report should be placed.

In the Location box, enter M$1$ as the cell where you would like the PivotTable placed.

Click OK$.$

$4.$ In the PivotTable Field List, go to Choose fields to add to report:

Drag the age $($years$)$ field to the Row Labels area.

Drag the age $($years$)$ field to the Values area.

$5.$ Click on Sum of age $($years$)$ in the Values area.

$6.$ Click Value Field Settings from the list of options.

$7.$ Under Summarize value field by$,$ choose Count and click OK$.$

Note: The PivotTable report will appear in cell M$1.$ Depending on how large your view is$,$ the PivotTable Field List may appear on top of this table. You can close the Field List by clicking the X in the upper right hand corner of this box.

Now group the rows of the PivotTable report into classes. Use $20$ as the lower class limit$,65$ as the upper class limit$,$ and a class width of $5.$

Use Excel to create a histogram for the $$age $($years$)$ variable. You can find directions for creating this histogram in the previous dropdown box of instructions.

Of the four histograms that follow, only Figure is a correct representation of this sample$$s values for the variable $$age $($years$).$ Notice that no titles are included, so match your histogram to the ones provided by comparing the shape of the distribution and the heights of the bars.
