Using a sociological perspective, complete an application. Choose a current event or personal experience that sparks your interest. Current event can include things you might hear about in the news or things you have personally experienced/been involved with. Application will use sociological concepts to tell me about this current event or personal experience. Application must incorporate one accurate application of a set of paired concepts from Chapter 1. Paired concepts include: 1) solidarity and conflict, 2) power and resistance, 3) inequality and privilege, 4) global and local, and 5) structure and contingency. Application must also incorporate four accurate applications of different key terms from Chapters 7-12. Key terms include bolded terms in the reading. Key terms are also noted at the end of each chapter and in the flashcards content module. Do not choose just any terms, be thoughtful in your choices. Application should be completed as if the audience (me) is not familiar with the current event or personal experience, which means you need to include some basic background information so I can understand the sociological analysis
