Using Active and Passive Voice

This sentence from my recent writing I used passive voice. I have the knowledge that passive voice, the subject of the sentence does not do an action; the subject of the sentence is acted upon.

My question is how I can rewrite my sentence in active voice.

How to give the meaning and context of my particular sentence, which version is more effective: the active or the passive?

My Sentence:

Furthermore, people in positions of authority could be driven by different goals and motivations than their inferiors. Because the lower ranks frequently have to modify their work to match the objectives of their superiors, this might result in even more inefficiency. This may result in a lack of concentration and comprehension of the activity.
