Using the program traceroute on a UNIX-based computer or tracert on a Windows-based computer, find the path from a host on your network to these email servers:

1) Google mail

2) Yahoo

3) Outlook

4) Mail.com

5) Yandex.com

Part a) Using the data returned, draw one diagram of the paths out to all 5 of these sites (think node and edge diagram). You're submitting one diagram with all 5 servers on the one diagram.

Part b)

1. Is there a way to determine the geographical region of where these sites are located?

2. Using the information from the diagram, how many routers are part of your organization's network? How can you tell?

3. Using the information from the diagram, can you determine the name of your Internet service provider (ISP)?

part c) Using the ping program, determine the average round-trip time for packets going to the email servers listed above
