Colby lives in Florida needs to renew his automobile registration. The Florida DMV sends him a renewal form and indicates that he needs a safety check for his car. He takes his car to the vehicle safety inspection station and completes the safety check. If the safety check is successful, he can then go to the DMV website and renew his registration, paying with a credit card. Two weeks later he receives a new registration form and tags for his license plates. He puts the registration in the console of his car and places the tags on his license plates. If the safety check is not successful, he takes her car to her mechanic to make the necessary repairs. When those are complete, he repeats the safety check.
