Write three good search terms for your topic

$($For example, the sample search in the video you watched showing you how to use the library could have used the terms: Soda and health, laws about soda pop, obesity, and soda.$)$ Use the search terms you choose to conduct a search using the DMACC library website. From your results, choose three credible sources with full text available at DMACC that you could use to help you write a speech about the topic you chose. List the bibliographic information for each source as your answer to question $$2.($author$,$ title, where it was published, date, URL if applicable$)$

Now rank the sources you chose in terms of which is most credible. Remember the "CRAP" test as you search $($I will copy it here as a reminder$)$:

Currency $($how recent $($current$)$ is the information? Was it published recently? Are the sources it uses also current? Is it current enough for your topic?$)$

Reliability $($What kind of information is it$?$ Is it from a Primary or Secondary source? Is it opinion, fact, or a compilation? Does it use references or sources for its data or quotations?$)$

Authority $($of the publisher and author $-$ is it from an academic joumal? An objective news sources? A book? Is the source clear and is it authoritative? Is the author an expert in the field or citing experts in the field? Does anyone involved in the publication have a financial or personal interest in the information?$)$

Purpose$/$Roint of view $($Do you see evidence of bias? Is there advertising included? If so$,$ is it clearly separate from the informational content? If an online source, what is the domain? $(.$com usually has a financial interest, $.$org may also have a financial interest in a certain interpretation of data$/$ideas$,$ edu may be quality research or it may be a secretary blogging about conspiracy theories or a professor making claims outside their area of expertise. Is it peer reviewed? Then it is often scholarly research meant to increase the field of knowledge in the area.$)$

All of these can be viewed on a sliding scale $-$ often there are degrees of relevance for a specific sourcel
