This case study will explore how balancing the numerous tasks can help Drops improve their warehouse operations in terms of efficiency and throughput. The focus of your plan will be on the 810 am peak period. a) In case Drops wanted to run the 8 - 10 am shift with only one AMR, how many orders can be processed during that shift? What is the cycle time associated with this arrangement? b) Drops would like to increase the number of orders processed to 6 orders/shift. How many actual AMRs will be needed to achieve this target and what will be the time needed for every order?
