We are interested in predicting the enrollment of students for the upcoming year for a college that has not been listed. We decide to run a Multiple Linear Regression to make this prediction using (1) Year, (2) Applicants total, (3) Admissions total, (5) Highest degree offered (categorical), and (6) Control of Institution as independent variables. Variable (4) is your dependent variable (the one you want to predict). In the report you will see that in the table where the coefficients are listed, there may be one or two variables with problems (coef = 0, p-value = #NUM!). Why do you think that is? List what the variable(s) is(are) and your reasoning why it(they) should not be in the regression model.
