We have focused extensively in this course on the B2B Sales Role of a Salesperson who represents their company to businesses that will purchase their product.

In the Travel and Tourism Industry, there are Salespeople working for a variety of Businesses, including Hotels and Resorts, Cruise Lines, Tour Operators and Travel Suppliers, Travel Insurance companies, etc.. As also discussed this semester, the Salesperson performs a variety of different job functions, including creating and delivering Sales Presentations that trains travel agents about their company.

For this Assignment, you are required to create and deliver a 5-minute Sales Presentation as a Business Development Manager for a specific company (we have provided a list of Cruise and Resort companies below for you to choose from) where you are training a large group of Travel Agents about your company.

ASSIGNMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Scenario: You are a Business Development Manager for a Travel related company, see point 1 below, and you are required to create a PowerPoint Sales Presentation that you will do in front of a group of 100 travel agents for training purposes in telling them all about your company. Since presentations are not in person at this time, you will do the training via ZOOM and will record the 5-minute training. (Remember, this is a pretend scenario, so you are pretending that you are doing this for travel agents to view, but the recording is only for your Professor and will be submitted for grading purposes.)

The Assignment requires the viewer of your training recording to see both you and the PowerPoint throughout the Presentation (the same as your Professor does in the virtual sessions). Students have the capabilities through Seneca ZOOM to be able to do this.

Follow the instructions below in order to complete and submit this assignment.

1. Choose which company from the list below, that you would like to be a Business Development Manager for:

- Sandals Resorts - Royal Caribbean Cruise Line

- Beaches Resorts - Carnival Cruise Line

- RIU Resorts - Princess Cruises

- Royalton Resorts - Norwegian Cruises

2. Create a PowerPoint Presentation that includes, but is not limited to, the following information about your company:

- Introduce yourself, tell them about your company and advise your job position

- Discuss what makes your company unique and stand out in the industry.

- Speak about why the travel agents should encourage any prospective traveler to choose your Resort or Cruise line for their vacation.

- Focus on Features and Benefits of your company and the Resorts or Cruise Ships.

- If you have chosen a Resort as your company, discuss the locations of the Resorts. If you have chosen a Cruise Line as your company, discuss the Destinations that your company visits.

- Address and clarify who the Customer Demographic is for your brand so that the travel agents know what type of traveler to sell your company to.

- What current promotions are being offered by your company? (Those promotions can be when the travel agent books directly with your company OR if the travel agent books your company through a Tour Operator.)

- Conclude your training Sales Presentation with an enticing ending that encourages the Travel Agent to book their prospective travelers with your company. Consider offering a booking incentive to the travel agent.

- These travel companies have produced short videos to promote their brand, so include one of these short video clips (30 seconds on average) as part of your Introduction or Conclusion. You can find these videos on YouTube (search by using the company name or by going to the brands home page) or on the company website. If you cannot embed the video into your PowerPoint Presentation, when you are doing your recording you can leave your PowerPoint and go to the website to play the video, and then return again to your PowerPoint in order to accommodate this requirement.

Be sure to add lots of images / photos / etc. to make your PowerPoint Presentation appealing and interesting to watch. Remember to have talking points on your slides with visuals to keep your viewer interested and then you expand on the points as you speak.
