When it first opened, the Intimidator turned out to go a little too fast and the ride was too intense for many people. The ride was then re-engineered to add friction in the first drop so that the ride would not be quite so fast. The speed at the bottom of the first, 300 ft drop is "only" 90 mph (40.2 m/s).

Do not use the final equations from the videos, but rather re-derive everything, just as they did.

Calculate the number of joules dissipated as heat. Use 5000 kg for the mass of the roller coaster train.
