When looking and thinking about my adaptive tool kit I want it to be shared with the ability to recommendations on possible changes. As I and everyone else create these took kits it is extremely important for us to remember that the things we think and do may be very different than others. That is why these toolkits should be flexible. As I would be communicating this tool kit to my leadership, I would be asking them for recommendations at the same time. This could be small tweaks to my ideas or even adding big ideas they have. I think a lot of time when trying to get buy in we have allow people to provide their own ideas as well. Not only does it help them buy in it gets more perspectives and opinions that will make the toolkit so much better. I always think my ideas are awesome and great, however many times other may not think the same or have ways to make it even better. In the end multiple people working together will make a better product then one. So allowing inputs from others will ultimately help them buy in more than if we dont allow there inputs.
The way this strategy will be sustainable for more then two years is exactly what I talked about before communication and flexibility. Two years does not seem like a very long time but so many things can change by then. Businesses have to change with society, Covid is a prime example of how one thing can change so much. Overall, in order to stay up to date and relevant you have to change with everything around you. It is one of the most important things in a company from leadership to tool kits. In the name we are calling it adaptive so we have to be able to change it over time!
