Why is critical thinking important?

Because people are well reasoned individuals and therefore we don't need critical thinking skills.

Because much of our thinking, left to itself, is biased, distorted, partial, uninformed or down$-$right prejudiced.

Because people have different perspectives and I need to prove that my thinking is superior to all others.

Because it is the only way I can join a sociocentric club.
