Now, if we have quantum computers can't we make encryption that is truly unbreakable? 

 

Quantum computing has the potential to revolutionize many aspects of technology, traditional cryptographic algorithms rely on mathematical problems which means quantum computers can potentially break these algorithms by exploiting the principles of quantum mechanics.

 

According to NIST, post-quantum cryptography (also called quantum-resistant cryptography) is to develop cryptographic systems that are secure against both quantum and classical computers and can interoperate with existing communications protocols and networks.
