Wora Constructions Pvt Ltd is a construction company that constructs both residential and commercial buildings. Most of their projects, in sheer numbers, are medium sized projects involving residential buildings in Male, Maldives. Most of these projects are very similar in nature and differ only in a few details. However, most of the revenue of the company is constituted by a few large projects, such as resort construction. Each resort project differs greatly from others as the environment, design and finishing for each resort project is unique. However, there are similarities as well, especially in the materials and equipment used. It also sometimes gets large housing projects by the government. Government projects generate significant revenue when they come by, but it is quite rare.

As Wora is considering to bid for the contract to build the convention centre, it discovers that the project would only be awarded to a company that has a mature project management system. This sparks a debate in the board room about improving governance in the organization.
