Write a Matlab function count = PatternCount(Text,Pattern) that will return the count of the times a Pattern shows up in a given Text.

So far I have,

function count = PatternCount(Text,Pattern)

count = 0;

for i = 0:length(Text) - length(Pattern)

substring = Text(i+1:1+length(Pattern));

%ACAAATTTGCATAATTTCGGGAAATTTCCT

if strcmp(substring,Pattern) == 1

count = count+1;

end

end

end

but it just returns count = 0 when I run the function with Text = 'ACAAATTTGCATAATTTCGGGAAATTTCCT' & Pattern = 'AATTT' when it should return count = 3
