Nominal levels of measurement are very basic. Numbers are used to classify objects, such as fruit. Ordinal measurement is more exclusive and involves categories. An example of this would be per say a survey when individuals answer whether they are satisfied, not satisfied, etc. Interval measurement involves ordered categories. Values are able to be added and subtracted. An example of this would be temperature. Ratio level measurement is informative. This allows for math to take place.
