This class has opened up my eyes in regards to legal aspects of the sport industry. The biggest take away for me is that we need to be cautious of what we are doing and spend time researching before making decisions. By doing this and checking with references we can be less likely to run into a legal issue. I think this class is extremely important as we are going through some historic legal precedents in sport(NIL, Title IX progression, and others). As sport professionals it is important that we make ourselves educated on these topics. Personally in my career I was not aware of certain ADA laws, and some Antitrust issues. This will better help me manage facilities property and take care of guest. Again, as much as I have learned, I will always reach out to experts to verify before making decisions on legal issues. Having this back grown will help me understand who to reach out to or where to find answers on legal matters.
