i. Business Profile: We are a team, Marvelous Mavericks and we wanted to start a profitable business company as a team. After researching, we discovered that Caps are a necessary product for all groups of people in our country. The Younger generation interacts heavily with fashion trends, and the older generation uses them for reasons like going bald or staying cool from the heat. But surprisingly we found out that we have no big established good cap producing company in our country. There are some local, very cheap cap-producing companies, but their product could be better in quality that most classes of people can't use them. So they rely upon imported foreign caps, which are higher in price. So, the middle classes need help to afford them. From here, we decided to establish ''The House Hatters. Our goal is to prepare caps which are good in quality, and as we made them here, we can sell them at affordable prices. We first thought about what can make our company products unique. Then, we discussed the new Apple event, where they discussed how they work for the environment. So, our USP is that we will make caps with recycled products. We will use raw materials which are lower in price as they are being recycled. And we will conduct our business both online and offline. We have decided initially to have 2/3 outlets of our company in Dhaka. Our manufacturing factory will be beside Dhaka city so that we can cooperate easily. We will have different category caps like casual, DJ caps, formal caps for older people, child fancy caps, etc. Our target is to penetrate all categories of people with age, gender and society. Our long-term goal is to serve the country with good-quality caps so people can become less dependent on essential caps.
ii. Vision: The vision of ''The House Hatters is maintaining its quality and to set a new standard sustainably. We plan to become the largest supplier of eco-friendly caps in Bangladesh. By offering a large selection of fashionable hats with affordable, sustainable and environmental value, we aim to encourage the public to make their own choices. Our ultimate aim is to create a country combining fashion with sustainability, resulting in positive social and environmental impact for future generations.
iii. Mission: The mission of' ''The House Hatters is to be Bangladesh's most prominent cap brand. Maintaining elegant and high-quality caps made from recycled materials is our primary goal, and we want to contribute to revolutionizing the cap industry by actively contributing to environmental sustainability. We strive to provide our customers with eco-friendly products that protect the environment and make them feel good about themselves.
iv. Strategies: The company's primary goal is to become the market leader in the cap industry of Bangladesh. And we can do it quickly as Cap's initiative is not established in Bd. To do so, we have to work on our strategies properly:
Pricing Strategy: As we prepare our products with recycled materials, we can price them relatively lower than their quality.
Quality: Our primary target is to provide good quality caps to our customers, so we will not compromise our quality standards.
Location: Our factory facility will be beside Dhaka city, from where we can distribute our products efficiently and at a low carrying cost.
Flexibility: We will provide different quality products for segments like casual, DJ caps, formal caps for older people, child fancy caps, etc. We will also operate offline and online.
Service Quality: We are planning high-quality packaging and design for our products. For online, we will be responsive as quickly as possible to engage the customers.
Managers and Workers: We will appoint two managers from our team. Also, others will be selected in the necessary places, like factory facilities, distribution centres, etc. And we will hire a very skilled labour force experienced in producing caps.
Product design: We will make a team of 7 people initially to design fancy and classy caps for all. They will create the products after quality research, which is very important for capturing the market. We will invest heavily in it, and our products will be updated regularly.
b. Objective and Scope of the Work Objectives: Our cap sales business aims to provide eco-friendly caps made from recycled materials at reasonable prices and ensure high-quality products. The company aims to promote sustainability and reduce waste by using recycled materials in production. And we have some plans for job opportunities; if we continue with such activities, we may do better day by day. These activities are product development, supply chain management, marketing and branding, sales and distribution, customer engagement, and continuous improvement. If we focus on this activity, we can present our business firmly in the market. Our most significant advantage is that our country has no such big cap industry leader company; foreign and local caps are sold nationwide. That is an ample scope to penetrate the market relatively quickly.
c. Methodology: First of all, we found out our relevant data from the internet about the cap market in Bangladesh and how it's working. We discovered that the cap market is very narrow in Bangladesh and is segmented variously. We also did some secondary research by conducting informal interviews with various kinds of people of different ages and gender peoples. They revealed that they want some good quality caps at a reasonable rate. They also became interested in our cap company. But from that, we have got minimal data. Most of the information is from internet research, where we get the overall idea.
d. Limitations: detailed data is hard to find throughout the study about caps demand in a market. Moreover, our main target is Dhaka city, but we can only expand our business slowly as the Cap is not an equally demandable product outside of Dhaka. So, we can't plan a large-scale production in the initial period. That will make a product's unit cost relatively higher. We found that a formal, extensive survey could lead us to better market demand and ideas about people's choices, but we faced an obstacle. Surveying general people takes much work. Those are the limitations we found during our study.
