• The increasing diversity of refugees, migrants, and cultures in countries poses significant challenges to the health systems of recipient countries. The demographic diversity of those vulnerable groups, including the elderly, disabled persons, families and minors, unaccompanied children, overstretches the readiness of the healthcare system to respond effectively. Would you agree that responding to these challenges requires recognition of the need for intercultural competence and cultural sensitivity to be granted a central role in the healthcare system? Why? Why not? Please explain and provide an example.
• Do you think the cultural competence training would equip the health professionals to improve health services delivery? Do you think that it may help to bridge potential gaps between the healthcare provider and patient relationships?
