You are assigned to develop a visualisation and simulation system based on the quarry environment in Malaysia. It is an educational learning system that schoolchildren later will use to learn and increase awareness related to environmental safety issues. This project is a research project and lead by Associate Prof Dr Afiqah with four other project members. As the initial requirement, the team has visited a quarry site in Langkawi to study and understand the activities in the quarry. The proposed system will visualise and simulate the actions in the quarry (such as blasting, crushing, transportation, and drilling) for learning purposes. Relevant parameters will be keyed in by the users to experience the simulation of quarry activities. All quarries in Malaysia are controlled and managed by the Department of Mineral and Geoscience Malaysia. The system development must complete within six months.
