You have been asked to begin to develop a database for a bookstore. The bookstore manager has no database background, but she has identified the following information that needs to be included: Splattered Cover is a chain of bookstores that sells books. Splattered Cover wants to keep track of the books it sells, their publishers, their authors, and the customers who buy them and the invoices of who bought what when. A person is not considered a customer until they have actually purchased a book. Customers often buy many different books at the same time. Some customers buy many copies of the same book (at the same or at different times) to give as presents. Splattered Cover likes to keep track of a customer's address and e-mail address. A book can have co-authors but only one publisher. Some authors are very prolific; it is not uncommon for the bookstore to sell multiple book titles by the same author. Further note that a book has many copies of the actual, physical book. Splattered Cover likes to keep track of when the book was published and how many pages long it is. They also like to track the genre of the book (mystery, fiction, biography, etc.], what a copy of the book title cost them, and what price they sell it for. Note that some publishers don't publish certain book genres. They also want to know whether or not the author is still alive in case they want to contact him or her or send a birthday card (the bookstore does not carry, nor does it have any interest in carrying, contact information about the author]. The bookstore also likes to keep track of the city and state in which a publisher resides (not the full address), the year the publisher was founded, and the telephone number of the different contacts at each publisher (each book genre has a different contact at each publisher)
