You have finished your training and have started working as a police officer at the Burlington Police Service. When starting your new position your commanding officer learns that you have taken a project management course at Mohawk, so you have more training in project management than any other member of the force. The police force is trying to improve their engagement with the local community. Due to this, some of the members thought that it would be a great idea to run a ball hockey tournament in the Mohawk parking lot to raise some money for the local community and to engage with a popular activity in the Hamilton area. The other officers that will be assisting you in this project are: Sergeant Frank Drebin. Acting as a subject matter expert and expert referee. Carey Mahoney. Acting as the HR professional, recruiting teams and fans to attend the event Maxwell Smart. Acting as the Procurement specialist, ensuring all equipment, facilities and referees are contracted for the event. All members of the team will pick up extra duties or responsibilities as required. You will be acting as the project manager of this unique service to be provided to the community. The project will start on March 01, 2022 and will finish on August 30, 2022. The event will be held on July 23 & 24, 2022. The local forces have secured $10,000 for this project.

Create a WBS and WBS Dictionary for this event. You may use Microsoft Excel, or a similar program to complete this. The WBS is the visual picture of the project broken down into the tasks (decomposition), listed under their relevant groupings. You may use whichever approach to creating a WBS you prefer (Bottom Up, Top Down, Analogous). The WBS Dictionary provides the information about what each one of those tasks involves. In order for a team to start working on the project and scheduling activities you need to have some description of each task. These are also, sometimes called work packages. Your WBS should have at least 8 tasks broken into at least 3 different groupings.
