you will compose a short report specifically trying to write it poorly. Specifically, you should utilize as many of the 8 Half-Truths presented in the chapter as possible. I should clearly see at least 5 of them utilized incorrectly. You should also pay attention to the Ten Ways to Make Your Writing Easier to Read and incorrectly utilize several of them as well. After composing the incorrect draft of your report, you will then edit and revise it to eliminate or minimize all of the "poor writing" problems. You will include both your poorly written draft and the corrected version one after the other in the same document that you will submit here in Canvas.

Here are the instructions spelled out:

1. Write a report of approximately 1/2-1 page on a "day in your life" experience. This could be centered around a job, school, a hobby, church or other organization, etc. Basically you will tell the story of what this day in your life looks like-- where and when you go or do something, who you interact with, goals you accomplish or activities you participate in, problems and successes you encounter, etc.
   • Write it poorly! Incorrectly utilize at least 5 of the 8 Half-Truths and several of the Ten Ways to Make Your Writing Easier to Read from the textbook and/or the PowerPoint slides for Chapter 4.
   • The topic of your "day in your life" report is up to you and is of no consequence to your grade in this assignment. Write about whatever is easiest, most pleasant, or most interesting to you.
