You work for ABC organization that employs $2,000$ people, with $12$ locations throughout Ontario. At least one HR resource is employed at each site. Recently the organization has gone through a major growth with increased profits and the potential of expansion including hiring an additional $250$ part time employees.To date, the company has been using an in$-$house HRIS, created by the IT department. This system has been in place for the last $8$ years and very few employees understand how the systems can be integrated with each other $($i$.$e$.,$ payroll and HR$).$ Furthermore, many standard procedures are still being completed manually, which has been extremely time consuming for the HR team. Completion of accurate lists is a priority as well as producing documentation for tracking union grievance information.You have been approached by the Senior Vice President of HR$,$ who has limited knowledge about HRIS, and have been asked to review a potential implementation of a commercial HRIS based on company requirements and possible expansion of employees and sites. The Senior VP of HR believes this will allow the organization to be more competitive in the industry, along with various other benefits.In groups, you will be required to research a Human Resources Information System that you are in support of and identify how this specific HRIS would increase efficiencies and effectiveness within the organization.Requirements:You will be required to present your selected HRIS as if you were presenting it to the Senior VP of HR and the HR Team. The presentation is to provide an overview$/$analysis of the HRIS system, provide a basic understanding of the system and articulate the business benefits the system would deliver.This presentation should be between $15-20$ minutes and will be delivered in person.This presentation must include a demo of the HRIS, and any supporting documentation $($i$.$e$.,$ handouts, summary sheets, $).$Use MS PowerPoint to present your research.Use of tables, diagrams, and$/$or screenshots are encouraged.Research is important there is a lot of information easily accessible from our lecture slides but also can be found online $($be sure to document your sources properly where necessary$).$Every team member will actively participate in the presentation.In addition, $5\%$ of your mark will be based on attendance and peer review of other groups presentations. The goal is for you to learn about various HRIS systems out there, and you can only do that by attending the presentations. To show your attendance and participation, you will be required to submit Peer Evaluation Sheets for $90\%$ of the presentations $($I have given a percentage rather than a number as we do not know how many groups there will be in our class$).$
