There is a random sample of students from a large public high school. Each person, individually, takes a paper-and-pencil measure of introversion.

(a) Check the assumptions and decide whether it is OK to proceed with a single- sample t test to compare the sample mean to the population mean of introversion for U.S. teenagers.

(b) To what population can one generalize the results? (The same introversion measure was used for the national sample.)
