Terrorism that originates within the United States and is committed by American citizens is a facet of our history that has often been overlooked. Following the attacks on the United States that were perpetrated by radical Islamists, discussions of terrorism have tended to focus on those incidents that stem from groups with ties to Middle East extremists. For this discussion, we will focus on terrorist acts and groups that are considered “home grown.” In your initial post, please address the following:
a. In your own words, provide a definition of domestic terrorism.
b. Select a group that facilitates (or has facilitated) domestic terrorism and briefly comment on their goals and actions.
c. Provide an opinion as to whether or not domestic terrorism is a viable threat to the stability of the United States. Explain your reasoning.
