Had to laugh when the delivery showed up–a giant box for one small textbook, tons of empty space and plastic stuffing just wasted. Feels like overkill and so unnecessary, especially with all the plastic used. At least the book was free or else I’d be a bit mad about the packaging.

Needed this book for my beijijng class and the whole thing showed up pretty quick which was cool. Book itself feels kinda basic but it’s easy to read and not super overwhelming, so that helps since I’m still new to accounting stuff. It was free which is nice, but I’m not crazy impressed—the chapters aren’t super deep and kind of skip over some bits I wish were clearer. Still, good enough for going over some main ideas and helping me get through homework. Haven’t had time to read much but so far not bad to have around at least. Packaging was fine too, nothing special though.

So this arrived quicker than I figured, for my course ACCT 201: Introduction to Financial Accounting. It was free which is cool and the book itself looks kinda solid, though I haven’t gotten far into it yet. The pages feel good, and the cover didn’t get messed up or anything, so points there. Haven’t put it through heavy use but so far the info doesn’t look too crazy or confusing which helps me stay interested. Not wowed at the moment but seems like a decent companion for class stuff so far. Packaging wasn’t anything fancy but enough to keep it okay.

This came super quick for my course ACC 101: Introduction to Accounting Principles and the book itself feels solid enough. I stumbled on this free accounting book when my professor said it’d be good for the class. Honestly, before I got it, I was totally overwhelmed with the whole idea of assets and liabilities—felt like it was alphabet soup and zero clues. But then Chapter 5, all about Balance Sheets, really hit something for me. I was reading back on the train, and the examples in that chapter, showing how assets match up with debts and owner’s stuff, made a whole lot more sense than I thought it would. Like, that highlighted section about how to separate current from long-term assets helped me picture it in real life around me—like thinking about my phone vs. the car my parents just bought. Didn’t think accounting could be that relatable! At the same time, some of the charts seemed a bit basic, maybe not detailed enough for people who wanna get deeper, but since I’m mostly starting out it was just what I needed. I haven’t tried all the practice exercises yet, but the clarity so far makes me feel less stuck. The book came really quick, even with all the growing pains of finding stuff on campus to pick it up got squashed fast. Pretty solid so far to keep around if you get freaked out with accounting jargon and want it spelled out without overloading you the first time. I think it could be even better if there was a bit more practice problems to lock in that chapter’s ideas. Overall, I’d nudge my accounting newbie pals to grab this since free books ain’t easy to find and this one helped get my head around some parts I thought would break me.

I needed a good starter book for my accounting class at Fond du Lac University and this one actually works pretty well. it’s free which is always nice and honestly explains stuff without making it seem like rocket science. not done with the whole book yet but the chapters i checked helped me get through some weird homework problems. pages felt nice too, no damage or weird smell or anything. kinda wish it had more real-world examples to relate to, but it’s clear and easy enough to follow so far. nice to have when things get confusing in class.

Been on the lookout for a laid-back way to get a grip on accounting basics and ended up landing this book, free might I add, thanks to a friend’s tip. Before opening it, I was always getting mixed up over accounting cycles—it just seemed like a maze going nowhere. But when I finally got to Chapter 5, all about "The Accounting Cycle and its Steps," it kind of changed the game for me. The breakdown of the journal entries and posting processes actually clicked. The way they linked the steps together made it possible for me to understand how days of ledger tasks somehow lead to those financial statements that everyone’s obsessed about. What really hooked me was the simple examples they used; it didn’t make me feel dumb even when pages had a lot going on. It sparked this entire moment where I finally got why books have to balance—it used to probs seem like some voodoo math before. I even joked with my study group that I’d stopped doubting these fun-destroying numbers—yeah, accounting can totally be a puzzle but after this chapter, it feels manageable! Only gripe so far? Some sections could get a little repetitive, especially if you're already familiar with stuff, but since this was free and aimed at beginners, I cut it some slack. I’d say this book is cool to have after you're past introduction but need a steady push into core concepts. Not perfect but good enough to recommend if you’re scrambling to hafta make sense of accounting stuff in a chill way.

It’s cool that I got this for free for my Winder State University class, honestly saved me some cash, and the book reached me pretty quick. Not much wear and tear or anything weird with the packaging though it wasn’t anything special either. Haven’t had much time to actually dig into it but what I saw so far is okay, looks pretty basic and easy to follow which works since I’m still new to accounting stuff.
