The axial-flow pump shown in Fig. 12.19 is designed to move \(5000 \mathrm{gal} / \mathrm{min}\) of water over a head rise of \(5 \mathrm{ft}\) of water. Estimate the motor power requirement and the \(U_{2} V_{\theta 2}\) needed to achieve this flowrate on a continuous basis. Comment on any cautions associated with where the pump is placed vertically in the pipe.
