Gloria was raped by her stepbrother when she was 16 and he was 23. It was a very difficult situation; law enforcement officials were called, and eventually the situation broke up her family. She is currently working at a rape crisis center and is talking to a client whose situation reminds her of her own. She says things like: “Oh, telling my teacher wouldn’t have done a thing for me!” or “I was too far gone to be able to handle it the way you did.”
