You are part of a team evaluating the separation of a mixture of ethanol (1) + butyl methyl ether (2). This was a project your company explored a few years earlier. However, based on some additional operating constraints, you now need the VLE for this system at 338.15 K to provide an estimate on the size of the distillation column required. Rather than perform the experiment again at 338.15 K, you decide to use the data at 323.15 K to estimate the VLE at 338.15 K. The data at 323.15 K for this system is given in Table 11-4.
