With four or five other students, develop a comprehensive list of factors that represent barriers to whistle-blowing within an organization. Barriers to whistle-blowing come from three sources: (1) the organization itself, (2) an employee’s supervisor, and (3) personal factors related to the employee. The team should identify barriers to whistleblowing from each of these sources. Finally, develop ways to lower the barriers to whistle-blowing from these different sources. Be prepared to discuss ways to lower the barriers to whistle-blowing in organizations when called upon by the instructor.
