All jobs have unwritten rules attached to them. For example, when working as a temporary hospital cleaner, the author found that temporary cleaners were given all of the worst jobs to do, including cleaning up sewage from a broken ceiling pipe. Temporary cleaners could only use the cleaning equipment (floor polishers, etc.) when they were not needed by those with permanent cleaning jobs; the full-time cleaners had control.
