Consider how your educational institution contributes to the satisfaction of your social needs while studying through your membership of social groups (class, tutorial groups, self-help and study groups, clubs and societies, sports teams). Conversely, how are other aspects of your institution’s structure, rules, procedures, and policies blocking your satisfaction? How could your institution meet your social needs and those of your fellow students more effectively through different forms of group arrangement? Would these be consistent with good teaching and learning practice?
