1. The balance sheet extract at 31 July 1999 shows the figures which were reported when the accounts for that year were finalised. The figures have not been restated to take into account the prior year adjustment shown in the accounts for the year to 31 July 2000.
2. The company's freehold properties were revalued during the year to 31 July 2000, giving rise to a surplus on revaluation of £50,000.
Required:
Insofar as the information given permits, prepare a statement of total recognised gains and losses and a reconciliation of movements in shareholders' funds for the year to 31 July 2000.
