2. When employees and families apply for WSIB it is a very lengthy legal process with thousands giving up and not having the financial means to attain a lawyer and fight for benefits. WSIB is operated like a business. What are your thoughts on WSIB(Ontario) Do they protect companies or injured employees and their survivors?
3. What are Workers Compensation two main social goals and do you think this includes psychological hazards?
4. It is advised that companies work harder to prevent accidents and injuries so that they can reduce the compensation costs and lower thier premiums in their industries.
As HR professionals it will be your goal to move these metrics. If you are hired into a health care facility (hospital, long-term care) what are some of your ideas regarding health and safety improvements that you would work on to reduce accidents, injuries and hazards?
5. Have you ever experienced an incident at your workplace or educational institution that has caused you stress? Have you lost sleep, weight and or increased your anxiety. Have you witnessed someone being harassed or bullied? What will you do in your workplace to prevent this behavoiur?

For many years he had enjoyed his work at a nonprofit residential services agency. To his coworkers he was a helpful and generous collegue. However, his wife Lisa and several coworkers recounted some of the challenges Mr. Donovan experienced at work in the time leading up to his death. Following three years of complex legal proceedings, the Workers Compensation Board of PEI awarded benefits to Eric's family. In that decision, the WCB concluded the Mr. Donovan's fatal heart attack was likely linked to experiences of workplace harassment. Sworn affidavits submitted as part of the legal proceedings described some incidents at Mr. Donovans workplace.
