1. Choose a problem you believe Information Systems can be utilized to solve.

a. Write a 1-2 paragraph summary of the problem you are trying to solve and 1-2 paragraphs of your proposed solution.

b. Use the internet and find a user-friendly CASE tool to help with the four core areas.

c. Write several paragraphs about the CASE tools features and how they can be utilized in the solution to your problem in the core areas.

d. Write a 1-2 paragraph summary of the Costs and Benefits of your proposal and embed a spreadsheet with the actual or estimated dollar amounts: List at a minimum:

-hours worked,

-material cost,

-environmental cost,

-security cost and

-management costs

e. Include a ROI estimate in your proposal that hopefully offsets these costs

f. Using the internet, find at least two alternate solutions other than your development. Write a paragraph on each alternative summarizing each include:

-one off-the-self solution and

-one out-sourced development solution

g. Add the costs for both these solutions to your cost-benefit analysis data for direct comparison.
