After reading and comprehending this week's assignment in Chapter 9 of "Doing Research in Your Organization" by David Coghlan, I found that Systems Thinking and practice, along with Systems Thinking and Action Research, were most illuminating. As an educational leader, I believe that the most pivotal themes, in my opinion, will always surround Systems Thinking. This is not just a theoretical concept but a powerful tool that can transform our organization. By understanding and embracing Systems Thinking, we can change how we see ourselves, what we mean to our job field, and how we are all a part of the success and growth of the organization. Once people can recognize and understand how and what they contribute to an organization, the organization has just taken its first step to accomplish goals aligning with the mission and vision of one's job field. My current organization is an elementary school that serves scholars from 3k to fifth grade. One issue that I have noticed is colleagues feeling as if they are not appreciated. Many staff members feel they work extremely hard and go above and beyond their work description, yet need to be recognized for their accomplishments and efforts.
