Case briefs are required for several assignments and provide a framework for the reading and analysis of a legal case. A case brief is a written outline of a court decision. By outlining a judicial decision according to a predetermined format, the you summarie the key elements of the case and resulting decision. The outline is an analytical tool to help the you understand the decision of the court. Do not include legal procedure ISSUE: A concise statement of question to be answered by the court. Formulate as a question. HOLDING: What did the Court Decide?
