I want to test if the mean sleeping hours of my co-work are greater than 8 hours or not.
I rely on sampling techniques like convenience sampling. I ask my friends and their friends on Facebook about the number of hours they sleep. In this way, I collect 30 responses. The data collected is given below.

Mode is the number occurring a maximum number of times. This implies the maximum number of hours of sleep is of 7 hours.

The standard deviation and variance is 1.98 and 3.94. Their low values imply mean is reliable. The minimum and maximum hours of sleep are 4 and 10 hours.
