The difference between business ethics and personal ethics is that business ethics apply to an employee in an organization. In contrast, personal ethics are rules to guide how to live. Aside from the meaning of both kinds of ethics, their different meanings also connect to how it is implemented ("Difference Between Business Ethics and Personal Ethics | Definition, Examples," 2016). Business Ethics are learned when an employee/person is hired in an organization and trained by an employer or staff. On the other hand, personal ethics are understood by how a person is raised and the environment, whether the family, beliefs, and society("Difference Between Business Ethics and Personal Ethics | Definition, Examples," 2016). Another difference between them is the punishment if you break a rule in business ethics and personal ethics. If you disobey laws in business ethics, you will be punished through fines, penalties, and other consequences, including being fired from your job or being sent into a lower position. For personal ethics, you do get punished for disobeying laws. For instance, rules like do not kill or take someone else's life are not only a crime but go against ethics/morals. If you do that, you will be arrested and sent to prison. Even though both have punishments, they have different outcomes.

Organizations can be ethical if they implement an ethical culture in their business. Several characteristics that can develop the best employees (lighthouseserv, 2019):

• Strong values in mission and vision statement
• Code of Conduct
• Leading by Example
• Comprehensive training
• Personal values that are integrated
• Annual meetings that are revise

Ethics in a business will lead to an increase in profits, an excellent reputation, and possibly an upgrade, whether it is renovating the setting in a company or having more buildings/stores in other locations.

Unethical but Legal:

1. Full-time employees who are paid a minimum wage ("Examples of Legal But Unethical Situations in Business," 2013)
   1. The minimum salary that employees receive is not always enough to pay home rent, insurance, and other debts.
2. A persuasive casino commercial that shows "elated winners throwing money into the air" alluring people into financial consequences ("Examples of Legal But Unethical Situations in Business," 2013).
   1. This kind of influence is not a healthy persuasion but manipulation as it takes advantage of people in need, making them think there's a shortcut to getting money. In the long term, this influence can lead to gambling addictions and a lot of debt.

Illegal but ethical

1. Individual cheating taxes
2. Driving the speed limit
3. Jaywalking

Unethical/Legal

1. Accepting gifts from a vendor or other business associates
2. A dentist who performs unnecessary procedures on a patient in order to receive an insurance payment
3. Violating company internet policy; checking Facebook or Twitter while at work and using company resources
4. Lying to your boss to get a day off from work
5. Firing an employee without notice or for no good reason

Ethical/Illegal

1. When a child is hungry and steals a loaf of bread from a shop to feed.
   1. Ethical; the child is hungry and wants something to eat. Illegal; stealing
2. Running a traffic light or speeding
   1. Ethical/legal if someones life depended on it (i.e. rushing to the hospital)
3. Lease a car/apartment in your name for someone else who would not qualify on their own
4. It can be illegal not to fulfill a contract, although it might be ethical (dependent on reasons)
5. Transformer giving electricity: transformer emits a lot of heat, which can cause damage. If someone removes the fuse of the transformer, while the transformer burn out is illegal, the act of removing the fuse to avoid damage could be ethical.
