Case #2 A friend, who is also a classmate, is talking with you about some challenges he is having on the job. His grades have been affected by the situation at work. He goes on to suggest that the stress is taking a toll on his personal life, too. Case#1 You tell your supervisor that you are taking a communication class. The supervisor begins to rant and rave that people always say she is a poor listener.
