She does desire to be in a loving, intimate relationship DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENTING PROBLEM Monica has recently been experiencing various mood swings. She has sought counseling with her family because lately, she has not being able to get along with others or family members. Monica's family describes her as a free, loving individual who loves being around others and is very outgoing. Lately, however, her family and others have noticed that her mood will go from happy to sad, or joyful to bitter. Monica is very confused because she does not understand the sudden change in her behavior.
