Question: CE 6 4 8 Project ( 3 0 points ) Use MIDAS Civil software to conduct the working stress design of an interior precast prestressed

CE 648 Project (30 points)
Use MIDAS Civil software to conduct the working stress design of an interior precast prestressed concrete girder following the PCI Bridge Design Manual (BDM) Example 9.1a. Refers to Sheets 667 to 701 of 1954 in PDF file.
Report Deliverables:
Provide a summary of your project.
Show screenshots of your primary input and model views using the MIDAS Civil.
Report the distribution factors of moment and shear due to live loads using the MIDAS Civil and compare the results with the PCI BDM example.
Report the moment and shear values at various sections in a table using the MIDAS Civil and compare the results with the PCI BDM example, Table 9.1a.4-1.
Determine the strand pattern that satisfies the allowable stress limits at various sections due to prestress release and all loads, respectively. Provide sketches showing the feasible strand pattern. Refer to Figs. 9.1a.7.2-1 and 9.1a.7.2-2.
Report the working stress design results at the critical sections (e.g., strand transfer length section and midspan) due to prestress release and all loads, respectively, and compare the stresses between the MIDAS Civil and the PCI BDM example in a table (or tables).
Provide screenshots of stress contours due to all loads using the MIDAS Civil.
Provide discussions and conclusions of your design using the MIDAS Civil. Particularly, address the discrepancies between your design and the PCI BDM example.
