Create a Flowchart in Visio Using BMPN
The Caterer Imagine you run a catering business that specializes in vegetarian dishes for customers who are in a hurry. A customer who is unfamiliar with your catering business orders several dishes. As the customer is in a hurry, the order will be fulfilled whether it is missing items or not. Some items might contain substitutions. Create a BMPN flowchart using Visio for the following process. When the customer orders, the first step is for the order receptionist to confirm whether the entire order is vegetarian. If it is not, the receptionist rejects the order and informs the customer. If the order contains all vegetarian dishes, then the receptionist confirms the order and it proceeds to the kitchen. When the kitchen staff receive the order, they check if they have all the ingredients to prepare the dishes. The check may result in any or all of the following three options (regardless, the order continues to be processed): i) they have the ingredients and can fulfill the order; ii) they are lacking some of the ingredients, but they have a reasonable substitute, in which case the order is completed with an added note to the customer of the substitution; and iii) they are lacking a key ingredient for which they have no substitute; however, they still process the order, but inform the customer that this item is missing. Once all the dishes are prepared, the order is sent to the customer.
