Analyze the truss shown in the figure using the

finite element method, assuming $E=10{10}^6$ psi,

and $A=1$ in$.{?}^2$ for all the members.

Evaluate and submit the following results,

$($a$)$ the element stiffness matrices $k^{(1)}$ and

$k^{(2)}$

$($b$)$ the global stiffness matrix $K,$ and

$($c$)$ the horizontal displacement of node $1.$
