Jennifer had been considering the benefits of implementing new technologies and systems into the organization to record and organize various points of employee data. While she considered Carters Cleaning Centres a small business with just under 50 employees across the chain, she found the manual records that they used to be time-consuming and inefficient. Jennifer and her father Jack had agreed that they needed to outsource payroll, but still, they were spending several hours each week to gather payroll information, such as regular hours, overtime, vacation time, and sick time to send to the payroll company. As well, on multiple occasions, errors had to be corrected which consumed even more of her time.
