Ethical Response Post: You are required to select another student’s ethical dilemma post and write a response post in Moodle proposing a solution to the dilemma using any two (2) of the ethical theories presented in lectures. These include utilitarianism, deontology, social contract theory, character-based ethics1, and the Australian Computer Society’s (ACS) code of ethics2. Specific criteria for the response post includes:

 It should be between 300–500 words long.

 It should be prefixed with your name, e.g. Simon Smith Part (b).

 It must contain an introduction which clearly indicates the dilemma being discussed and provides an overview of how you intend to address the problem and proposed solution(s).

 A discussion which demonstrates an analysis and synthesis of the literature with your own ideas. This should include a discussion and application of the selected theories and possible solutions. You do not need to provide a detailed description of the theoretical approaches being applied.

 It should contain in-text references and a bibliography which contains authentic academic literature (approximately 6–8 references). Gather these references from various sources such as the Internet, assigned textbooks and readings etc. For assistance with in-text referencing and formatting your reference list in APA or IEEE or ACM format (see the link to General Guide to Referencing provided).

 It should contain a conclusion which draws together all the ideas that have been presented and validated.
