In this weekly discussion, we will get into specific QTO techniques related to this week's reading: Please discuss pertinent methodologies for executing the quantity take-off function for the following activities: 

1) Existing Conditions, 

2) Concrete, 

3) Masonry, 

4) Metals, and lastly 

5) Wood, Plastics, and Composites.

Any and all techniques of interest in these 5 areas may be discussed. You may discuss and contrast conceptual, ROM, and unit pricing in your discussions. It would be interesting in hearing about various mathematical formulas, geometric techniques, and construction analysis that allows the estimator the ability to perform an accurate detailed QTO.
